Everyone knows that careers in the green industry have just begun! If you find an opportunity to promote and sell green products that are healthier alternatives and better for the environment you will have a piece of the multi-billion dollar industry. Even better than just selling green products, if your products fall into the 'health and wellness' industry too your piece of the pie just got BIGGER.
If you are looking for some home based business ideas -- you have found a fantastic place to start. Green products improve people's overall health and wellness and bring awareness to such topics as animal cruelty, chemical ingredients, toxic products and healthier diets.
Five years ago, in The Wellness Revolution, economist Paul Zane Pilzer outlined an emerging $200 billion industry he called "wellness." Today, as fully explained in The New Wellness Revolution, that industry has grown to $500 billion, and it's just getting started, offering even greater entrepreneurial opportunities.
If you share products that are part of the "green products" boom, I suggest discovering a true passion for improving others' lives by sharing information and products that give healthy benefits. Why? Because so much of the MLM industry is just sharing information. If you are not passionate about what you share, you will have a harder time keeping a client's attention.
In addition to being passionate, you need to be speaking to the right people. The right people are those who fit into your target market or "niche" which consists of women and men interested in healthy lifestyles for themselves and their families.
Let me explain a little more about what target or "niche marketing" means...
Depending on your company and your product line, there are specific types of people who are more apt to purchase your products. For example, I do not cook. I am very domestically challenged and prefer to stay out of the kitchen. If someone is marketing cooking products they would be wasting their time and money on me. Why not find a group on Facebook who all love the art of baking? It would benefit that sales person to establish some relationships in that group rather than aiming at their target market with a blindfold over her eyes.
Ok, so in my humble opinion I believe that if you can find a company who manufactures green, health and wellness products you are in a STRONG niche market. The demographic of people who are interested in becoming healthier is growing and is definitely not a part of a here-today-gone-tomorrow type of trend.
One of the best ways to find your niche market is Social Media Marketing. Like I mentioned above, Facebook and other networking sites already group people according to interests. All you have to do, is get into that group and share your passion and build some relationships.
Big Tip: Do not market your MLM products right out of the gate. You want to share information 90% of the time and sell 10% of the time. Notice I said, "share your passion" not "SELL products".
